A quality hosting company is worth it’s weight in gold
I didn’t know that when I started my first website.
Instead of doing my due diligence, I just went with a company that every blogger and affiliate marketer was promoting at the time.
Little did I know, they were only promoting it because the commissions were high. Not because it was a quality company.
And it ended up being a nightmare for me.

I spent dozens of hours on the phone with customer support, most of the time not even getting the problem fixed.

If you’re building an online business, don’t go cheap on your hosting

With one of the early hosting companies I used, you pretty much needed a Masters in Computer Science to figure out how to set up a website.
Needless to say, I broke that site more times than I care to admit and spent an embarrassing amount of time on the phone with support trying to fix it.
If you’re reading this article, I’m guessing you’re not a computer programmer.
And you don’t want to have to learn web development just to start a blog.
Chances are you’re an entrepreneur that just wants to get a site up and running as quickly and easily as possible.
And you want to be able to make changes to it without worrying about breaking the whole thing.
Learn from my mistakes.
Unless you’re really comfortable with tech and working on the backend server stuff, just go with a hosting company that simplifies the tech stuff.
Make sure they have customer Support You Can Count On
Not to scare you, but you’ll eventually break your site.
Or you’ll need help figuring something out.
Or you’ll have an issue that requires an expert to get you through.
That’s just the reality of doing business online.

And when you do, you want someone to answer.
When you’re going through a crisis, you need help. And you need it now.
